TikTok has presented the risk assessment of TikTok Lite to the European Union.

Enlarge the picture. The European Commission has asked the short-video platform TikTok owned by ByteDance to submit the risk assessment report of its new version TikTok Lite within 24 hours, claiming that it is concerned that the reward program of TikTok Lite may cause addiction among children. TikTok said that it has submitted the risk assessment report of TikTok Lite.
The European Commission also pointed out that before launching this new version in Spain and France this month, TikTok did not provide a risk assessment report.
The European Commission said that the Digital Services Act (DSA) which has been put into effect requires large online companies to take more measures to address the problem of illegal and harmful content on the platform, otherwise they will face fines, which may amount to 6% of the global annual revenue. The commission has decided to launch an investigation into whether the launch of TikTok Lite in France and Spain violates the provisions of the DSA.
